Reducing stress

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the stress of your job? Perhaps you find yourself constantly worrying about things that are out of your control. If so, you're not alone.

Stress is a common problem affecting both our personal and professional life that can lead to a number of negative consequences, including relationship and health issues and decreased productivity.

But there is one simple way to reduce stress and improve your overall well-being - gratitude.

Research has shown that being grateful for the good things in your life can help improve mental health, increase happiness levels, and even boost immune function.

So how can you start incorporating gratitude into your day-to-day life? Here are a few tips:

1) Keep a gratitude journal - each night, take a few minutes to write down 3 things that have made you happy or appreciative that day.

2) Share your gratitude with others – expressing your gratitude and appreciation towards others strengthens relationships.

3) Mindfulness – the more we are practising being mindful and aware of what is happening in the present moment we can start to notice more things we can be grateful for.

4) Prioritise time to do things you enjoy – the more we do things that make us happy, showing gratitude will become easier.
