Staying connected

What a great way to meet passionate and inspiring like-minded people at our coffee catch at Perth Business Network (PBN).

Staying connected and meeting positive and inspiring people is something that's very important to me.

The most critical protective factor for our mental health is our social connections. Our family, friends, and work colleagues provide an essential support network that helps us to weather life's storms. These social connections give us a sense of belonging, boost our self-esteem, and provide us with a sounding board for our ideas and feelings.

In times of stress, these relationships can be a source of comfort and reassurance.

They can also help to build our mental resilience, teaching us how to cope with adversity and setbacks.

If you're feeling overwhelmed or feeling like you need support, reach out to your loved ones and close friends. Talking to someone who cares about you can make all the difference in the world.

Time and time again I hear people say that they should be able to work things out on their own and that its a sign of weakness if they need to ask for help.

In fact, studies have shown that people who have strong social relationships and are open to sharing how they feel are more likely to recover from trauma than those who don't.

It was lovely to meet you Leila Chapman and Sherylle Dovaston (AFAIM)
